The Iguanas - Jumpin' With [Detroit Garage-Rock 1963] (Size: 89.41 MB)
DescriptionThe Iguanas formed in Ann Arbour, MI in 1963 by a bunch of high-school friends. This record, their first and only one, was recorded 1963-64 and it sold very poorly. But in 1996 someone found the mastertapes and re-released it. And why is that? Well, it is a fairly good garage-rock record, high in energy and some of the covers makes a really good listening. But that's not why they bothered to give it out again. The reason for the re-release is the skinny, weird teen who plays the drums. His name is Jim Osterberg. Ring any bells? Well, let me help you. A few years later he got in to heavy drugs, met a few other guys, formed a band, made himself leadsinger and changed his name. To Iggy Pop. And the name of his new band was The Stooges. The rest, is history. -------------- ::::TRACKLIST::::: Mona I Don't Know Why Again & Again Twist and Shout California Sun Slow Down I Feel Fine Blue Moon Things We Said Today Louie, Louie Wild Weekend Tell Me Summertime Out of Limits Johnny B.
