It only tries to make the movies flow better. Too many things are shown and explained in advance in the original cuts.
Sometimes jokes are explained..... before told!
- And only come out in pairs. Right.
- No, actually, Bombur...
- ...um, you count as two
- so you should come out alone.
No mystery or sense of discovery and adventure is present when everything is shown or explained. Sometimes scenes go for too long.
This edit tries to address all that. There are too many cuts to list them all. Removed 79 minutes.
