Plot :

A serial killer/vigilante known as the "Party Crasher" (Stephen Lang) telephones the police, notifying them that he is about to murder another individual at a night club, daring them to stop him. Police converge on the night club, but the officers, including ambitious and hotheaded NYPD cop Lieutenant John Moss (James Woods), are unable to stop the gunshot killing of a local drug dealer. The Party Crasher flees in the ensuing chaos, and Moss is thrown off a car while trying to stop the killer. While Moss has his injuries tended to, he barks some obscene comments at media members and cameras.

Out in Hollywood, Nick Lang (Michael J. Fox) is a rich, spoiled, and naive movie star who is best known as "Smoking" Joe Gunn, the title character in...

Trama :

Il famoso attore hollywoodiano Nick Lang, noto per la sua immagine un po' superficiale e i suoi film esclusivamente d'azione, decide di dare una sterzata alla sua carriera cercando di ottenere il ruolo di un serio poliziotto in un film di prossima produzione. Grazie alle sue conoscenze riesce ad essere affiancato ad un vero detective del NYPD, John Moss, che si ritrova così, suo malgrado, a dover convivere quotidianamente con il viziato divo.

Moss, impegnato per risolvere un complicato caso di un maniaco omicida che terrorizza...
