Een paar jaar na de gebeurtenissen in Gremlins wonen Billy en Kate in New York, waar ze
werken voor de triljonair Daniel Clamp. Maar als op een gegeven moment de Mogwai Gizmo weer
in handen komt van Billy, moet deze zorgen dat niemand het kleine wezentje te zien krijgt.
Als de kleine Mogwai echter nat wordt, ontstaan er plotseling een hele hoop smerige Gremlins.
En terwijl Billy en Kate proberen om deze gruwelijke wezentjes te stoppen, maken de kleine
monsters een grote puinhoop van het grote kantoorgebouw van Clamp.
