The Electronic Garden - Stratospheric Sounds [Multiformat]

These sounds were specifically designed for you, the guitarist, and no
expense was spared in collecting some of the finest and most sought-
after instruments ever made.

FreeAlpha
To start with, we have handcrafted over 100 patches for LinPlug’s
FreeAlpha synthesizer plug-in. There are punchy basses, snarling leads,
thick, moody pads and a whole lot more. Anytime you are stuck for an
inspiration, take a scroll through these patches and you’re bound to
find something that suits you. Better yet, use them as starting points
for creating your own unique timbres.

Miscellaneous
In addition to our synths, we sampled a Baldwin upright piano, a Rhodes
suitcase electric piano, a pair of Yamaha basses (one electric, one
acoustic), a Premier drum kit and a beautiful Hammond M3 tonewheel
organ.

The Samples
For our main course, we have cooked up a massive selection of samples
from some of the most famous synthesizers ever made. These samples
represent over 35 years of synthesizer technology, ranging from the
earliest modular monsters to rare digital wonder-machines. Whether you
need strings, leads, basses, percussion, or sound effects for your next
sci-fi masterpiece, we’ve got you covered. In addition, we through in a
meticulously recorded drum kit, as well as electric and acoustic pianos,
basses and a killer multisampled Hammond organ. Acoustic recordings
were made with world-class microphones from Neumann, AKG, Audio-Technica
and Shure. For an utterly legendary sound, we pumped the mics, the
synths and more through super-high end pre-amps from Manley Labs and
Chandler Limited EMI/Abbey Road.

How to use the samples
Not only did we sample the instruments for you, but we looped and edited
them and then mapped them out for some of the most popular software
samplers, including our own DS-404. If you use Reason’s NN-XT, Kontakt
or HALion, you’ll want to copy the entire “Synths” folder onto your hard
drive, so that the samplers know where to look for the files. Then,
you’ll simply need to open the patch files in your sampler, and away you
go! If your sampler has any trouble finding the files, simply point it
to the folder in the “Samples” directory that bears the same name as the
patch you wish to load.
