The HEVC coding, unplayable directly on older TVs, isn't entirely useless. I watched this movie on a 46-inch flatscreen TV played with VLC on a computer connected to the TV with an HDMI cable.

However, I agree with "anonymous" that encoding a standard DVD movie to a bloated 1.4 GB defeats the entire purpose of the new H.265 High Efficiency Video Coding.

I used the average bitrate option in Handbrake to reencode this movie to a mere 700 MB in the H.264 coding, which will play directly on older TVs. It only took about 17 minutes and there was virtually no loss of quality, which indicates its original HEVC encoding could easily have resulted in a file that size or even smaller.

All that notwithstanding, however, I certainly thank the uploader for making this classic whodunit available.
