Plot:
Wanneer het succesvolle bedrijf dat Gene McClary heeft opgebouwd uit zijn handen glipt, raakt hij in conflict met zijn partners om zijn jarenlange collega Phil te beschermen. Daarnaast zoekt hij troost in een affaire met zijn collega Sally. Sally ontslaat de arrogante bedrijfsmedewerker Bobby Walker, die zich hierna wanhopig probeert vast te houden aan de symbolen van zijn status; zijn hoge salaris en zijn Porsche. Bobby wordt nu gedwongen een baan in de bouw te accepteren, die zijn hardwerkende zwager Jack Dolan hem aanbiedt.

Synopsis:
