The trial of Penguin Publishing, under The Obscene Publications Act, for having the temerity to print for sale D.H. Lawrence's 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' in 1960, the week long event was a sensation that consumed the nation.

Plot:
The film follows two fictional jurors, Helena (Louise Delamere) & Keith (Rafe Spall), who become passionate lovers during the course of the trial & whose affair mirrors the themes of the novel.
