Reviews

"The Big Book of English Verbs" has an adequate approach because the contents are presented in a very simple way, which makes very easy for the student to find English verbs conjugations.

It has 555 English verbs, each brings a synthetic conjugation scheme, with a complements, phrasal, and expressions sections. Also each verb comes in a single page or two page presentation, each verb is identified as regular or irregular, and they are accompany with the most important Tense forms. Trough the book, are identified "the top 40 verbs". Additionally, it comes with an interactive CD with exercises and examples. You can compare it with "Barron's 501 English Verbs".Good for ESOL learners. My student, who is an advanced learner, loves it. I only gave it 4 stars because "regular" and "irregular" verbs should be indicated on the outer corners of the pages so that when you are flipping through them you can locate irregular verbs more quickly. Also, past participles should be highlighted a little better.
