I've never seen this series... Is this as good as the previous batman series?

I don't think it is as good, no. But Batman TAS is probably my favorite 90s cartoon and probably favorite Batman cartoon ever, all though Beware the Batman is a very close second tie with Batman Beyond. I have only watched about half of the first season of this series, The Batman, and at first I didn't really think it was that good but after a few episodes I started to like it. It's just different than the original animated series, it has a whole new feel and tone to it. To me it's a lighter tone. It's based on a younger Bruce/Batman when he first started out so you get to see when he first meets the Joker and Penguin and other villains. I think it is worth a watch for sure. It's no where near as bad as The Brave and the Bold Batman series, god that show is pretty lame but it's Batman so I do indeed have that whole series and will be uploading it too lol. In case you can't tell, I am a big Batman fan! Well a big DC fan in general, sorry Marvel fanboys but DC kicks Marvels arse! At least in the animated world :)
