Telegram is a fantastic app, and is one of the better security conscious mobile chat applications. I would highly recommend it. However, I don't know why you would download it from a torrent site when it is freely available on Google Play and other locations.

The source is also available, albeit not fully at this time, but they encourage you to hack and try and break the application in order to increase the security.

If you hate Facebook, and their purchase of the rock-solid WhatsApp messenger, give this a go. It stylish, sleek and simple, but good luck getting all your contacts to switch over. That's the only issue that I have found with it so far.
