Here - on their third full album - Puressence have a more post-produced pop-sound that, in some cases, masks the seeming melancholy spirit of the band. It was likely an attempt to make their sound a bit more palatable to the wider alternative rock audience. Not really surprising as it was in fact released on the huge record label Universal. Nonetheless, there are many gems here, and it is certainly worth the download. As always, if you like it, support the band and but their records.
