Biography
Svarica is a Croatian band that was formed in 2008 in Rijeka by Svetoslav and Jaroslav. The band is influenced by old slavic, celitc and different european folk music. The project started the work at the last days in 2008, in this time the first demo “Livade Svetovida” was recorded. That was a very low-quality demo which contained 5 songs and was recorded completely in two days. Two years later, in 2010, Svarica finds four new members, one permanent member Zorana and three Session and Live members Domovoj, Hrvoje and Svitogor. The same year Svarica is invited to their first concert to play with the Russian gods of metal Arkona in Croatia. Three years after the first demo, Svarica recorded an Album named "U Ime Sunca" which includes 11 self-written songs, released on the 5.september 2011. After that album, the project Svarica becomes a definite band with new members. The Session members Domovoj and Svitogor became permanent members, Lesnik, Arkon, Kresnik and Drinogor joined the band. On the 11. march 2013. their latest album, "U krilu Moraninom" came out, which opened new horizons for the band's future and first concerts outside of Croatia.
