De veertienjarige Mika heeft slechte schoolresultaten en wordt nu door
haar ouders verplicht om de vakantie door te brengen op de boerderij van
haar strenge grootmoeder. Maar afgezien van de stalknecht Sam, die zijn
ogen niet van haar af kan houden, ontdekt Mika nog iets anders van belang
op de boerderij: de schuwe en wilde hengst Ostwind (oostenwind). Zelfs
de springruiter Michelle of haar oma kunnen het dier niet temmen. Mika
probeert haar geluk en sluipt midden in de nacht naar de stal van Ostwind.
Een onwaarschijnlijke vriendschap ontwikkelt zich.

East wind - Together we are free is the incomparably beautiful history of
bad schoolgirl Mika, which not only learns in the summer holidays, that
she is a good rider, but the language of the horse speaks. For whatever
reason it is the only well that can ride the previously untamed east wind,

captivates until the last second. Great nature shots make the film well
