ABOUT THE BOOK
Thailand 1996. The Year of The Rat. Pete, a young travel writer, wanders into a Bangkok go-go bar and meets the love of his life. Joy is the girl of his dreams, young, stunningly pretty, and one of the Zombie Bar's top earning pole dancers. What follows is a roller-coaster ride of sex, drugs and deception, as Pete discovers that his very own private dancer is not all that she claims to be. And that far from being the girl of his dreams, Joy is his own personal nightmare.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Stephen Leather is an English thriller author who writes pacy "action packed" novels in a style deliberately based upon the work of Jack Higgins and Gerald Seymour. His novels frequently include themes of crime, imprisonment and military service, and lately terrorism and the War Against Terror. Settings are typically London and the Far East.
Leather was born in Manchester and grew up in Sale and Chorlton-cum-Hardy, and attended Manchester Grammar School.[1] After a career as a journalist - working for the Glasgow Herald, the Daily Mirror, the Daily Mail, the South China Morning Post and The Times - he began writing fiction, and his first novel was published from the "slush pile" at Harper Collins. He has since moved from England to the Far East, to the USA and Ireland, writing novels set in these countries. He is now published by Hodder and Stoughton and has sold more than two million books in more than twenty languages.
Two of his novels, The Stretch and The Bombmaker, were filmed for Sky Television. He has also written for TV shows such as The Knock, London's Burning and the BBC's Murder In MInd series.

ABOUT THE READERS

David Thorpe has appeared in numerous stage plays, in repertory and on tour; his television credits include The Brittas Empire, Peak Practice, and Jonathan Creek. Twice a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company, he has been heard in many radio plays and readings. Although he now spends most of his time behind a microphone, or teaching radio technique at theatre schools, he has also worked as a storyteller, puppeteer, clown, sandwich-man and cleaner.
Born in Sheffield, David grew up on the Isle of Wight, and now lives in London with his wife and two children.

Jilly Bond has worked extensively in theatre and radio for the past twelve years. Her credits on stage include Miranda (and Antonio!) in The Tempest, Fiona, the “girl”, in When I Was a Girl I Used to Scream and Shout and Anita in Ayckbourn’s A Small Family Business. She is regularly heard in dramas for Radio Four and the BBC World Service. Among her roles is Susan Grantly in The Barchester Chronicles. She has read numerous Afternoon Stories for Radio Four and is also a director and writer. She lives in London with her husband and two children.

A ratio of 2.0 means you are giving back twice what you have received, the book won't die and all our efforts have not been wasted but 5.0 would be outstanding and shows you have really entered into the spirit of what we are about. WE DO OUR BIT AND YOU DO YOUR BIT, sounds fair, doesn't it. If you are new to this and don't understand, type a message at the bottom and if I can't help, I know someone who can.
