Modificando un forno a microonde, l’eccentrico scienziato Rintarō Okabe inventa una sorta di macchina del tempo, capace di inviare messaggi verso il passato. Una potente organizzazione internazionale, il SERN, svolge da tempo esperimenti nello stesso campo e si mette segretamente sulle tracce di Rintarō e del suo gruppo di ricerca.
Sono queste le premesse di Steins;Gate, serie d’animazione giapponese nata dall’omonimo visual novel, sviluppato nel 2009 da 5pb. e Nitroplus per il mercato internazionale dei videogiochi. Firmata da Gaku Iwasa, dallo sceneggiatore Jukki Hanada e dai registi Takuya Satō e Hiroshi Hamasaki, questa trasposizione anime arriva dopo ben quattro serie manga tratte dal medesimo soggetto.
I personaggi principali, accanto al carismatico Rintarō Okabe, sono i suoi assistenti di laboratorio, l’hacker Itaru Daru Hashida e la ricercatrice Mayuri Shiina, oltre alla misteriosa Kurisu Makise, enfant prodige della fisica destinata a sconvolgere l’intera esistenza della Terra.

By changing a microwave, the eccentric scientist Rintaro Okabe invents a sort of time machine, able to send messages to the past. A powerful international organization, the SERN, plays from time experiments in the same field and gets secretly on the trail of Rintaro and his research group.
These are the premises of Steins; Gate, Japanese animated series created by the homonymous visual novel, developed in 2009 by 5pb. Nitroplus and for the international market of video games. Signed by Gaku Iwasa, screenwriter Jukki Hanada and directors Takuya Sato and Hiroshi Hamasaki, this transposition souls comes after four manga series drawn by the same party.
The main characters, next to the charismatic Rintaro Okabe, are his lab assistants, the hacker Hashida Itaru Daru and researcher Mayuri Shiina, in addition to the mysterious Kurisu Makise, wunderkind of physics destined to overwhelm the entire existence of the Earth.
