Stargate Universe Season 2 720p Web DL HEVC (h265) 10 Bit AC3 5.1 EN Sub

Normally I rip blu rays and create high quality HEVCs. However there is no BD for SGU season 2, so instead I took the best web DL 720 version that I could find, and used the 5.1 audio from my DVD.

I used x265 to create 2 pass "slow" or "slower" 10 bit HEVC videos at an average bitrate of 800kbps; the audio is AC3 5.1 384kbps.

Some of the episodes have a commentary, mostly some of the cast. These are stereo tracks. A single special feature, a documentary about the final episode is also included. The quality of that documentary is quite poor.

Finally, I included the English subtitles.

The result is all 20 episodes at 720p with 5.1 audio and good quality yet less than 8Gb.

The source videos I used had a few poor quality parts, mainly the many dark sequences aboard the ship, however x265 has done a great job with the outside video - see "Malice" for example. The sample is from that episode. That's the best that can be done without a BD, damn you MGM!
