Stargate SG-1 Season 5 x264 ac3 subs-HighQuality

These are high quality h.264 mkv's ripped using a p.c. powered by the Intel i7 processor (quad core with turbo-boost and multi-threading giving it a virtual 8 cores). Due to the power of the computer, I am able to turn the settings of the h264 encoder way up. The complex algorithms can be enabled, making the rips a very high quality with a reasonable file size. Many of the algorithms pack in more quality into a smaller file...at the expense of complexity (time consuming rips). Which means these 600mb files have the quality of other files that may be larger. These settings could take an average dual core 20+ hours to rip one episode. However the i7 does a two-pass encode in about 1.5 hours. I've been streaming these to my 50-inch LCD and they look picture perfect. Hope you enjoy!

p.s. I used subtitles that I found online. I did re-sync and perform spot checks and they seem fine. However I can't guarantee the accuracy of the subs since I didn't rip them myself. Thanks to those who did.

p.s.s. ATT PS3 MEDIA SERVER (which I use for these) USERS: These files may not work properly with TSMuxer...use the MEncoder engine(default) instead. Also if using MEncoder, if you have problems with audio sync, try unchecking AV/Sync Alternative Method.
