Star Wars Episodio VII Il Risveglio della Forza si svolge circa 30 anni dopo i fatti raccontati in Episodio VI Il Ritorno dello Jedi. Dopo la distruzione della seconda Morte Nera e la caduta dell'Impero, dalle ceneri di quest'ultimo è nato il sinistro Primo Ordine, con a capo il Leader Supremo Snoke e il suo braccio destro Kylo Ren. Oltre alla Resistenza, sostenuta dalla Repubblica e guidata dal generale Leia Organa, il pericolo numero uno del Primo Ordine è l'ultimo dei cavalieri Jedi, Luke Skywalker, misteriosamente sparito da tempo. A cercare Luke è anche sua sorella Leia che vede in lui l'unica possibilità di ristabilire pace e giustizia nella galassia. Per trovarlo, Leia ha inviato sul pianeta Jakku uno dei suoi più bravi e coraggiosi piloti, Poe Dameron. La missione segreta di Poe è quella di recuperare un indizio sul luogo in cui si trova Luke...
