Star Wars - Clone Wars Animated Series [2003-2005] - sciFan edition==================================================Both volumes of the Emmy Award-winning Genndy Tartakovsky animationsoriginally commissioned by Cartoon Network and LucasFilm to bridge thestory gap between "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith".http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361243/These are more restoration than rip. The original DVD mastering wasnot kind to the image, with heavy MPEG artifacting around black lines. This has been smoothed off as far as possible in VirtualDub whiletrying to preserve the subtle detail in the amazing background art.I believe these are substantially better than the DVD and are certainlythe best picture quality available as an upload. The screenshots do notdo justice to the films zoomed to 1080p full screen in MPC Home Cinema, which have no pixellation and look to me as near to BluRay as we're likelyto get since LucasFilm now disowns these stories as Star Wars "canon".I have included high-quality DVD cover scans and the DVD extras whichprove how enthusiastic George Lucas once was about these masterpieces.DVD mastering on the cartoon clips in the extras was appalling, theshocking image quality there is not the result of a bad rip. ;) Format : Matroska Codec ID : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC Source : PAL DVD Chapters : included Subtitles : none--------------------------------------------------Volume 1 - Chapters One to Twenty---------------------------------The original microseries, ending in the appearance of General Grievous.
