Description
Spontaneous remission of Crohn’s disease following a febrile infection case report and literature review
Stephen A Hoption Cann and Johannes P van Netten Review of the medical history of a patient with a long history of moderate to severe Crohn’s whose complete remission immediately followed the development of a febrile infection. Only a 4 pages article, but interesting for two reasons: - article cite reports that Crohn's (and colitis) were treated with fever inducing agents, by Dr. Crohn's himself that claimed it was a very effective therapy (before surgical procedures were established); - fever inducing treatment is linked to the homeopathic law “Similia similibus curantur” – “likes are cured by likes" (and somehow to vaccination).
