Description
## Disclaimer
This is an *Mostly Complete for convenience file. I've included most builds of Spigot.jar. With many missing between 500 and the final build 1649 as of 2014.09.05 So that you don't have to check 1649 different files, for convenience purposes, I've taken the liberty to ZIP compress the sections of this download. So that you as the reciever of this collection only must verify a small number of files. ## Methods I will be using to protect you as the downloader. First, I will be generating a md5 hash list of each file and posting them into the end of this file. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5 Second, I will be PGP Signing the entire document with a key that will be uploaded to this key server: hkp://keys.gnupg.net This will ensure data integrity of this document itself. I won't bother to teach you how to PGP. If you don't understand how to use it explaining will only confuse you further. Third, I will list and briefely explain what is happening in this file. ## Probably a reasonable way to check the sums in this Download Pack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sukjD_TcNRs Although I've not reviewed this at all and don't know if you'll have problems nor care at this point I've provided more then enough tools. Now get back to hosting more minecraft servers already. ## Breif explination of a Checksum (Hash) Basically you already know the basics if you know what a SUM is. The SUM of 1+1=2 this in essence is what a Checksum is. Its the output of all data given to the hashing algorithm (md5,sha1,sha2,sha5,etc...) The point of a checksum is to verify that not one single bit has changed in the original input. Meaning if I change one single Bit from a 0 to a 1 or I install some malicious backdoor code into my re-upload of this exact file. The checksum will fail. Example of a Checksum(hash) at work, in this case we will use md5 one of the weakest ones. I will run the following line through an md5sum This is DMCA! The output was the following. c87521ad5585e43b50aa616b135d81c5 Now I will add My BackDoor into that phrase. This is DM-My BackDoor-CA! Leaving an entirely different output. 1821225c7fb4c0a436e8a4e10425a9a6 Basically if you have a largely complex array of data ( Spigot Craftbukkit Bukkit ) source code that you don't want to sift through. You can use a Checksum to detect the most minute changes. We could even change the sentence to be just less emphisized since the DMCA is nonsense and made for thugs and children anyways. This is DMCA. Which returns this. b80b6f253a174ef1191dcdd13baab27a *Protip Mojang's UUID system is basically this. The 3 digits on the back of your Credit Card those are a CRC which is used to help verify that all of the data you've given along with your credit card is correct and complete. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_redundancy_check ## FILES INCLUDED AND MD5 CHECKSUMS ## MD5 (ci.md-5.net.zip) = 15691bb53818e09a3ed47593bc52445c MD5 (OtherRepositoriesIncludingWolverness.zip) = e1802ffc9bea4415a39d8fb605fddd45 MD5 (Spigot_Changes_Jenkins.2014.09.05.pdf) = 813bbee07a4241bd237166db485a6e4b MD5 (Spigot_Changes_Jenkins.2014.09.05.ps) = 0a7b3fb98707bbc504387b4a93b1a68d MD5 (Spigot_CraftBukkit_Bukkit_GitRepositories.2014.09.05.zip) = 79d90909a1131147f191f86870c5eb11 ## The Signing PGP key you should expect is owned by Name: "Simplekey" Email: "Simplekey@bobmail.info" Sharing Widget |
