Peter & Jane retired 7 years previously to Southern Spain. Each year, their daughter Claire visits them. They are horrified this year when she is deliberately run over and killed in front of them. They then discover that she had driven to Spain in a brand new car, which she had bought for cash, despite pleading poverty to them.

As they investigate her murder. and the death count mounts, more secrets are revealed, not only about Claire, but also about her father.
