do the data and redist folders update when using either 1.4 or 1.5?...i have no sound in the game..will using the 1.3 folders give me the sound back?

how can i go back to 1.3??? not letting me play at all on this new update ''hkship has stopped working'' even with launcher.exe..do i have to re download the game again...will my game saves still be there and i cant find my save games as theres no common folder in the steamapps folder..its not hidden..
