Opis:

Kiedy zabijesz wiedźmę, ale zapomnisz ją spalić, ona wróci… silniejsza, straszniejsza, pałająca pragnieniem zemsty… Dawno, dawno temu Stracharz, Mistrz Gregory (laureat Oscara Jeff Bridges), siódmy syn siódmego syna, w nierównej walce z siłami zła pokonał przerażającą wiedźmę, Mateczkę Malkin (Julianne Moore). Na wiele lat w okolicy zapanował spokój. Ale dni Mistrza są policzone i wie, że wiedźma powróci, dlatego od dawna szuka swego następcy. Wielu kandydatów nie sprostało zadaniu, byli zbyt słabi, nie potrafili wykorzystać danych im mocy. Został tylko on - Thomas Ward (Ben Barnes). To właśnie Ward musi stawić czoła Mateczce Malkin, która pragnie, by zło wróciło na ziemię. Mistrz Gregory ma niewiele czasu, by przygotować Thomasa do walki z siłami zła… to, co zajmuje kilka lat, musi zrobić do najbliższej pełni księżyca. Przyszłość ludzkości jest w rękach siódmego syna siódmego syna.

Storyline:

John Gregory, who is a seventh son of a seventh son and also the local spook, has protected his country from witches, boggarts, ghouls and all manner of things that go bump in the night. However John is not young anymore, and has been seeking an apprentice to carry on his trade. Most have failed to survive. The last hope is a young farmer's son named Thomas Ward. Will he survive the training to become the spook that so many others couldn't? Should he trust the girl with pointy shoes? How can Thomas stand a chance against Mother Malkin, the most dangerous witch in the county?
