I decided to make this release because some group said that their cracks are "True" and "Quality",
and then by some act of hypocrisy they release this with their new front group.
But here is the truth about this for those people who have no clue about all this stuff:
Other groups just use simple memory dumps of executable files and hide the RAW size with
PE compressors such as UPX. In case with Tages protection, exe file loads to memory
and after cd check it decrypts real game code/data to own buffers where it will be executed during
gameplay. So what the other groups do, when buffers is already decrypted and fixed they just dump those
buffers and add them to original file. Thats because buffers is outside of the file memory space,
this means that file in memory tooks in twice much more memory than original. With such wonderful program as
LordPE you can see how much memory for exe is needed to be mapped in memory, here is the simple comparison:
MY:
Size Of Image: 010C1000 = 17 567 744 bytes
OTHER GROUPS:
Size Of Image: 02CDE000 = 47 046 656 bytes
As we can see my exe took 30mb less memory than their "Full rebuild", I remember in '98 I had 32mb of RAM
and it was awesome so why the hell I should spent my RAM on some lame cracks, other groups use this method
on other protections such as securom too. So you can easily check their other cracks with ProtectionID
and LordPE, if PiD show you something like "[!] UPX [unknown / modified] compressed !" be sure this crack is
compressed and you can feel free to check it real size with LordPE so the real size will be not 5-10mb while 25-50mb.
I think it's enough of proof!
