Is there life on Mars? Perhaps the question that
should be asked is whether there is a City on
Mars? This dispute has been of main concern for
many years in the scientific community. The legend
says that the City on Mars comes to the surface
only in very specific times, when the Side Effects
frequencies have infiltrated the soil. This is
considered to be quite a miraculous phenomenon,
the kind that you crave and look forward to, and
therefore top scientists have conducted endless
experiments in order to be able to anticipate when
this sensation might occur, the answer is yet to
be explored.

This is Side Effects debut album and no doubt a
unique sonic treat. Side Effects, aka Yarden Yogev
& Tzahi Geller, are from Israel and have started
to experiment with production about a decade ago.
Their good friendship and common interests made
them reach to the decision that they should join
forces, and about two years ago Side Effects was
born. In their debut album they bring a solid,
well-crafted journey that gives you an insiders
view over their most current musical evolution.

With the right amount of Side Effects they managed
to resurrect the City on Mars. They felt that it
was a feeling crafted by Ace Ventura, called
Serenity Now, but they modulated it to their own
version. This peacefulness mind also crept a
feeling of Paranoia, but the reconfigured
prototype gave the exact opposite reaction. It
gave a weird feeling of Thunder in Paradise, the
kind that expands the Landscapes of Imaginations.
Then Liquid Soul gave another Push which was
turned into Side Effects interpretation. It
signaled Dream On! It is more than just a
Fantasy that was created with the help of Lyctum,
it is The Second LSDEEP.

We are on the block for over a decade now and
we noticed that it is getting worse year by year.
Years ago scene releases found their way to the
public via kinda slow p2p networks, DC++ hubs or
FXP-Pubs. Nowadays most stuff gets spread via
Filehosters within a few minutes or even seconds
which is very sad to see! We wonder why are some
crazy kids doing this? What is your intention?
GET A LiFE!

Of course we can understand that people download
a CD to listen to it before buying. But please be
honest and buy it if you really like it! If you
call yourself a fan then you should own the
releases from your favorite artists as original!
If you got everything as mp3 only you should
reflect a bit more about the current situation
in psytrance scene! Our beloved psytrance artists
aren't popstars like Madonna who earn thousands
if not millions. Labels can be happy if they earn
enough money to cover all the production costs!
If this continues that way some artists (maybe
your #1 favorite!) will stop making music and/or
the production of CDs will stop at all and
everything will be available as digital download
only - but no download can beat the warm & fuzzy
feeling to hold a brand new CD from your favorite
artist or label in your own hands!

We can't repeat it often enough, the psytrance
scene is very small and needs your support. If
you LOVE this music (like we do), please BUY this
music or VISIT some parties (like we do)! Our
releases are meant for promotion only - to give
you a sample of the retail product.
