is this the very first time Secret Wars has been written or is this a remake?

There was an event called Secret Wars in the 80's, and a Secret Wars II that followed it.

This event is also called Secret Wars, but it's not a remake or a reprint or anything like that. It's a completely new event with some vague similarities to the original Secret Wars, but on a bigger scale.

And they decided to call it Secret Wars too, because the people who come up with these titles are creatively bankrupt. (The comics are good, though).

I read the issue #00 yesterday, and downloaded the prelude just now, and I can confirm they're different

Is the #0 different? I heard it was just a recap for anyone not reading Avengers.
