The 34 year-old unconventional adventurer will cover nearly 1000 miles in just six weeks, in his bid to complete the last leg of the Ultimate British Triathlon. Discovery Channel will follow Sean's challenge every step of the way, charting the highs and lows of his run south the equivalent of 38 consecutive marathons. His progress will be captured on the channel and on discoveryuk.com via GPS tracking. For the duration, Sean will be unsupported, carrying all his own kit, including a tent, and he will source the food and water he needs along the journey. The nation can keep up with Sean's run and send him messages of support using #runwithsean, as well as having the opportunity to participate by 'running a mile or more' with Sean at selected parts of his epic journey. If he manages to complete this herculean task, begun in 2008, he will set a new record in British ultra-sports, becoming the first person to have swum, cycled and run the length of Britain, in the Ultimate British Triathlon. Sean started his challenge by cycling the length of Britain, a whopping 1,300 miles, and followed that by becoming the first and only man in history to swim the length of Britain, a 900 mile journey, for which he grew his now trademark ginger beard, to ward off jellyfish stings. Sean's last attempt at the run in 2014 ended in a very public failure after he injured his knee whilst taking a selfie, and had to call it a day. Now Sean is back and once again, he plans to use his camera phone to post video blogs and pictures to fans online, whilst GPS technology will track his exact location in real time. Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Sean had an adventurous upbringing in the Mana Pools National Park. He came to the UK in 2002 with just 100 to his name and starting working in Cambridge cutting 12,000 cabbages a day whilst pursuing a career in photography. Feeling dissatisfied with the direction his life was taking, Sean decided to sell his share of his company to his business partner earning him the grand total of 1 - to pursue his dream and broaden his horizons. Discovery Channel will follow 'everyman' Sean on his incredible challenge that begins on the 21 March as he pits his mind and body against the rugged and unforgiving British landscape. With no set route or confirmed locations to set up camp, other than at his mum's house in Cheltenham, Sean's course will be shaped by tips from the locals he meets along the way as he searches for the best possible route through the cities, towns and countryside of Britain.
