NMR Quality: The first file is somewhat buzzy, especially the first half or so. It is always easily intelligible. The other 5 files are much better. Comments: John Cleese (Monty Python, Fawlty Towers) is the perfect narrator for a humorous work like this. The entire book consists of a series of letters written from a mid-management demon from hell (Screwtape) to his nephew (Wormwood) who is a field demon learning the art of tempting humans, followed by a speech from Screwtape. Wormwood is assigned one man in particular, where you are apt to place yourself. You can forget the demons if you like. Think about sin and the motives behind it. This is an amazing book, IMHO. It can lead to some deep soul-searching while you laugh. A minimum of knowledge of Christian belief makes the book funnier, still. I like it even better in audio format. Once again, C. S. Lewis explains much in a minimum of words; this time in a comical narrative rather than didactic format. Related Torrents
