Verhaal / Plot

Jack Black speelt een mislukte rockmuzikant die noodgedwongen als invalleerkracht aan het werk gaat op een school. Zijn desinteresse slaat snel om als hij de kids aan het rocken krijgt. Jack Black en zijn klas bereiden zich voor op een belangrijke wedstrijd. Maar hebben ze wel een kans met hun onorthodoxe leerkracht?

Fired from his band, rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn (black) takes a job as a 5th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his free livin' livestyle, attitude, music, and antics soon influences the students to explore other sides of themselves the school doesn't encourage. They enter the "Battle of Bands" to solve his money problems and re-establishing him as a respected rocker.
