Oktober, 2004. De 27-jarige Australische Schapelle Corby werd op de luchthaven
van Bali gearresteerd met meer dan 4 kg marihuana in haar bagage. Ze ontsnapte
maar nipt aan de doodstraf, maar werd veroordeeld tot 20 jaar celstraf in Bali's
beruchte Kerobokan-gevangenis. Schapelle is haar onschuld altijd blijven
uitroepen en werd in februari 2014 voorwaardelijk vrijgelaten. Tien jaar na haar
arrestatie blijft één vraag op ieders lippen branden: heeft Schapelle al die
tijd onschuldig in de gevangenis gezeten?

Schapelle Leigh Corby is an Australian woman who was convicted of smuggling drugs
into Indonesia. She spent nine years imprisoned on the Indonesian island of Bali
in Kerobokan Prison. Since her arrest Corby has publicly maintained that the drugs
were planted in her body board bag and that she did not know about them. Her trial
and conviction were a major focus of attention for the Australian media.
