Here is a clip that you need to watch with tissues nearby. A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera have debuted the tear-jerking music video for “Say Something,” which is lifted from the group’s upcoming album due out next year.

The simple clip, features vocalist Ian Axel sitting behind a majestic piano on a stage playing and singing the sad tune.

Axel’s longtime writing partner Chad Vaccarino walks to the stage and stands next to the piano.

Wearing a very flattering black dress, Christina Aguilera joins them as she whispers the sad lyrics.

The camera moves away from the indie pop duo and Aguilera to focus on a biracial couple laying in bed with the woman contemplating whether she should leave or stay with her partner.

From the couple on verge of a breakup, we move to an adorable little girl who seems scared to be alone in bed.

The visual gets really emotional as we watch an elderly man lay in a hospital bed with his deceased wife.

The senior citizen cries and eventually finds the courage to tell the love of his life good bye.

The visual ends with all the characters leaving the status quo for something unknown.

“Say Something” will be featured on A Great Big World’s full-length album, Is There Anybody Out There? that will be out out January 14 via Epic Records.
