SASHA - INVOLVER 2

Dubbed Invol2ver, DJ Sasha will release the second edition of his Involver mix series on Global Underground this summer. The standard edition of 'Involver 2' features Sasha’s unique re-workings of musical giants such as Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Ray LaMontagne as well as formidable electronic artists like Apparat and Ladytron, while the limited edition comes equipped with a second CD of Sasha remix exclusives.



Sasha talked to 3Beat about the concept of 'Involver 2' earlier this year: "This album is going to be a pure electronic album. The drums are pure 808s and 909s. It gets a four on the floor really quickly and



stays there. The last album started off with a shimmery guitar record and went off into spanish guitars and ended up with Ulrich Schnauss at 140bpm. This record is much more leading and much more pure but really uplifting. You could say it’s more minimal but it is not a minimal record."

The Involver 2 album launch party will take place at the Ministry of Sound in London on August 30th with an extended set from Sasha himself. DJ Sasha's 'Involver 2' is out on Global Underground on September 8th, 2008.
