CyanogenMod 12

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github Repo.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
- Root is now disabled by default on CM12. To enable it go to Settings>Developer Options>Root access and set to Apps only or Apps and ADB.

Installation Instructions

- Coming from 4.4- ROMS
Download cm-12-XXXXXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip to your sdcard
Make sure you're using a CWM Kitkat Compatible
Boot into Recovery
Wipe all your data
Flash cm-12-XXXXXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip from sdcard
(Optional)Flash Google Apps.zip from sdcard
Reboot
- Coming from previous CM 12 build
Wipe caches
Flash cm-12-XXXXXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip from sdcard
Flash GApps again if you're using them
Reboot
