Enjoy and SEED!!! ^_^b

Opening remark from the first post of original thread

-----------------------------------------------------

Since everyone else is too lazy, and I’m a BIG Timeranger fan, I started fansubbing my own collection of Timeranger episodes. I subbed them using Windows Movie Maker (I know some of you think Windows Movie Maker sucks, but I don’t see any of you trying to translate this series).

I translated these episodes by using episode descriptions from Super Sentai fansites. I also used what Japanese I do understand, and some parts I just took my best guess at translating. Please also keep in mind that sometimes Japanese doesn’t translate well into English.

I want to make it clear upfront, that I don’t believe that these translations are 100% accurate, but at least you‘ll know what‘s going on in the episode/s, and that‘s what‘s important. If any of you that are “fluent” in Japanese think I mistranslated something, then please PM me so that I may fix the problem.

On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate the picture quality of these episodes between 7 and 8. Each episode is about 170 Megabytes.

I also have TV-Nihon’s copies of Timeranger episodes 1 & 2, and the movie Timeranger vs. GoGoV, up for download. (I like to keep them around, just so everyone knows that TV-Nihon’s behind me in subbing this series, )

Also, I do all the subbing on these episodes by myself. And it’s a lot of work for one person. And it’s easy to miss little things. So if any of you notice a typo, grammar error, etc. please notify me, so I can fix it.

Anyway, to all Timeranger & Time Force fans, enjoy!

Plot (from Wikipedia)

---------------------

"People from the future in the year 3000 AD and one man have met by chance, for the sake of marking a new passage of time…!"

In the 30th century, time travel becomes illegal after a time paradox crisis. The Time Protection Department is established to watch for and stop time crimes. Four new enlistee cadets of the TPD are tricked by Don Dolnero and his gang into letting them time-travel to the 20th century to commit various crimes. To protect history, the four cadets pursue them. There they encounter a severe problem: the TimeRanger program requires five members for the first operation. They thus force a present-day martial artist, Tatsuya Asami, to join them, allowing them to become the TimeRangers. Afterwards Tatsuya rents a building for them to live in and they start a small odd jobs business called Tomorrow Research to financially support themselves.

Over time, the four cadets begin to realize that their presence would inevitably change the future in the form of the City Guardians, a security force under the employment of the Asami Corporation to protect the city from the Londers. The City Guardians gain a tenuous relationship with the TimeRangers, especially when Tatsuya's childhood friend Naoto becomes TimeFire and later the City Guardian's Captain. In the series finale, the Timerangers go back to their regular lives. A year later Tatsuya is jogging when he sees five people who resemble the other Timerangers (including Naoto), but realizes it isn't them.

Review (from Jill of SentaiSpoilers)

------------------------------------

Time Ranger was rather an astonishing series. Every time I was sure I could tell what they would do, they up and surprised me. That was nice.

The theme of the series is, amusingly enough, that we can make of our lives and fates what we will. We don't have to let what's happening to us destroy our spirits. Each member of this team had their life about as thoroughly screwed over as is possible to be. Yuuri, orphaned at age ten when her family was assassinated, slowly built a life for herself and learned to include friends in it, in our time. Ayase, knowing his life would be over soon because of his fatal disease, refused to lie down and wait for it to happen. He fought, loved, laughed.... Sion, isolated by circumstances since he was a baby dropped on Earth after his people destroyed their world in war, sought to make connections with people and learned he could make anywhere his home. Domon, first kicked out of his happy life as a professional fighter, then ripped from his time and family,

learned to make a life and live in the time he was. Tatsuya Asami, ground under his father's heel since he was a child, determined to make a life of his own however hard it was to live without the family wealth. Naoto Takizawa... determined to make it on his own merits in a world where wealth and family connections mattered beyond skill and intelligence.

Time Ranger was about them. Not about the shiny machines, not even about the time travel. It was about the people who live in the world. Even the enemies were not left out. We watched Don Dorunero, a cold-hearted, merciless killer, godfather of his own little crew of criminals. Smart, old, and bitter. The only thing in his life that lifted him from that bitterness was the bright laughter and playfullness of Lira. Whether or not she was his mistress, I can't actually state for you. She treated him as her sugar daddy and never faltered in her half of the bargain, which was to bring lightness and frivolity to his hard life. And there was Gien, who slowly went from hyena cackles and general destruction to out-and-out homicidal, genocidal madness. Dorunero and Lira blended into the underworld society, moved out of the Londarz Tower and had quite a racket going

with the assorted criminals they set loose to run operations. Some of the villains had been loose for months before they ran afoul of the Time Rangers. Everyone made their way in the world the best they could.
