Just before the start of WW2, Sir Robert Hunter(Peter O`Toole), a British
sportsman, stalks Adolf Hitler with a high-powered rifle.As he takes aim he
examines his motives for the stalk.Is it, according to his personal sporting
code, merely a sporting challenge and does not intend to kill his quarry or does
he really intend to kill Hitler who he blames for the execution of his fiancee by
the Gestapo.Before he can make his mind up he is overtaken by events
