However, as the author points out, good, effective treatment for pain is available but is not as widely available as it should be. Cicala, director of the Methodist Comprehensive Pain Institute in Memphis, brings his knowledge and experience of managing pain together with that of four of his colleagues to create an informative, accessible work on treating and handling cancer pain.
