Roll Over Beethoven is a 1956 hit single by Chuck Berry originally released on Chess
Records, the lyrics of the song mention rock and roll and the desire for rhythm and
blues to replace classical music.
The song has been covered by many other artists and Rolling Stone ranked it #97 on
their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Great Balls Of Fire the song is best known for Jerry Lee Lewiss rendition, which was
recorded in the Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee on October 8, 1957, and released as a 45rpm single on Sun 281 in November 1957.
It reached #2 on the Billboard pop charts, #3 on the R&B charts, and #1 on the country charts. It also reached #1 on the UK pop charts.
Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer-songwriter and musician, well known for his distinctive, powerful voice, complex compositions, and dark emotional ballads.
Orbison grew up in Texas and began singing in a rockabilly / country & western band in high school until he was signed by Sun Records in Memphis.
