Rock-A-Doodle (1991) [DvdMux Ita-Eng][A.C.U.M.]  Plot : Chanticleer is a rooster, whose job is to wake the sun up every morning, but the Duke of Owls, who hates sunshine sabotages him to make it look like the sun comes up on its own without Chanticleer's crow. Detested by the farm animals, he leaves the farm to look for work in the city. Afterward, perpetual darkness and rainfall threaten the farm with flooding. Turning out to be a story read to a young human named Edmond, it seems that the flooding has found his family and when his mother goes to help them stop it, he calls out to Chanticleer and is heard by the Duke himself who takes a dislike to Edmond's attempts to foil his plans. He turns him into a kitten to devour him, but he is saved at the last second by Pattou, a bloodhound from Chanticleer's farm. He is accompanied by Snipes, a claustrophobic magpie, and Peepers, an intellectual field mouse, as well as several animals from the farm hoping to find Chanticleer and apologize to him for their behavior. Edmond accompanies Pattou, Snipes and Peepers to the city while the rest of the animals remain at Edmond's house. En route, they are attacked by Hunch; the Duke's diminutive nephew, assigned by him to stop Edmond and the others from finding Chanticleer. They narrowly escape and enter the city. Chanticleer has risen to fame in the city, thanks to his manager Pinkie Fox, employed by the Duke to keep the rooster in the city. At a show featuring an Elvis-type theme, he is introduced to Goldie Phesant as a distraction in case Chanticleer's friends come to find him. Goldie soon grows genuinely attracted to Chanticleer, and realizes Pinkie's true intentions when he captures Edmond and the others trying to get a letter to... Un giorno, il gallo viene sfidato da un suo simile, inviato dal Gran Gufo Tenebroso (Duca delle creature della notte). Chanticleer vince la sfida, ma nella foga si dimentica di cantare; e così tutta la fattoria osserva il sole sorgere senza aiuti. Chanticleer viene quindi bandito dai suoi vecchi amici; ma si tratta di un grave errore. Da allora, il sole non sorge più: e sulle ali di una perenne tempesta, giungono le creature del Gran Gufo. La storia si rivela essere una favola, che il piccolo Eddy sta ascoltando dalla madre. La fattoria della famiglia rischia di essere distrutta da un uragano. Quando la donna esce ad aiutare gli altri familiari, Eddy invoca il ritorno di Chanticleer. Ma a comparire è il Gran Gufo, che irato dalla sua interferenza, sfrutta il suo magico respiro per trasformare il bimbo in un gattino. Il piccolo insieme ad alcuni animali parte alla ricerca di Chanticleer. Ma Chanticleer è diventato famoso ed è circondato da un ambiente losco e pericoloso. S'innamorerà della bella corista Goldie e, grazie al sostegno dei suoi amici, che si pentono di averlo scacciato, capirà qual è il suo posto nella vita. Eddy: il secondo protagonista della storia, è un bambino di 10 anni che viene trasformato in un gatto animato dal Gran Gufo per essere mangiato e impedirgli di andare a cercare Chanticleer, ma Patou lo salva e i due, insieme a Spillo e Piperita, vanno in città a cercare Chanticleer. Verso la fine della storia, Eddy imparerà a vincere le proprie paure e ritorna bambino. Patou: un cane buono e saggio che vuole imparare ad allacciarsi le scarpe. Funge spesso da supporto per Eddy, data la sua esperienza. È anche il narratore della storia. Spillo: un gazza ladra. È un gran chiaccherone, simpatico, goloso, soprattutto di lasagne, e soffre di claustrofobia. Desidera molto andare in città, ed è per questo che parte per la missione di recupero di Chanticleer. Ha un pessimo rapporto con Piperita. Piperita: una topolina. È intelligente, dinamica, estroversa, porta gli occhiali e ha la erre moscia. Ha un pessimo rapporto con Spillo ed è molto legata ad Eddy e Patou. Gran Gufo: l'antagonista principale della storia. È il gran duca dei gufi (in originale viene chiamato solo Grand Duke), pomposo, raffinato e amante del buio, per questo cerca di liberarsi di Chanticleer. Pare essere una sorta di mago, potendo usufruire di poteri magici tramite il suo soffio. Strazio (Hunch): il nipotino del Gran Gufo. Dovrebbe essere un antagonista della storia, ma è talmente goffo e stupido da essere considerato un personaggio comico (lo stesso Patou dice che "più che malvagio è imbecille"). Fa sempre infuriare il Gran Gufo; soprattutto quando lo chiama confidenzialmente "zio" e non "Duca", come vorrebbe invece appunto il Gran Gufo; tanto che quest'ultimo si domanda se "uccidere suo nipote sia un delitto o un'opera buona". È fissato con le parole che finiscono in -zione (anticipazione, eliminazione ecc...). Pinky: il secondo antagonista della storia. È una volpe molto grassa ed è il manager di Chanticleer, ma in realtà è un alleato del Gran Gufo e usa il gallo per fare soldi. Goldie Phaesant: una bellissima fagianella. Lavora per Pinky come corista, ma si considera troppo brava per il coro. S'innamorerà di Chanticleer e lo aiuterà a salvare i suoi amici da Pinky.
