Description:

Russell Crowe stars as the legendary figure known to future generations as " Robin Hood ," whose adventures perpetuated in the popular consciousness and stimulated the imagination of those who share his spirit of adventure and the rule of law . After Richard 's death , Robin travels to Nottingham , a town overrun with corruption and crippling taxes imposed by a despotic sheriff. There, he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion ( Cate Blanchett ) , a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest . Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village , Robin assembles a gang whose lethal skills are matched only by its appetite for life . Together they begin to hunt for pampering yourself upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff . Living in a country weakened decades of war, ineffectively governed by the new king and vulnerable to insurgencies from within the country and outside threats , Robin and his men are gearing up for even more adventure. Most amazing of heroes and his allies set off to protect the country from a bloody civil war , and once again restore the glory of England.
