Riverdance - North American Tour Fall - Returns as Lord of the Dance (2011) [XviD - Eng Ac3 5.1] MIRCrew [TNT Village]
North American Tour Fall (2011) Returns as Lord of the Dance Riverdance, the thunderous celebration of Irish music, song, and dance that has tapped its way onto the world stage thrilling millions of people around the globe, and described by the Washington Post as “A Phenomenon of Historic Proportions” returns to tour North America in the Fall of 2011. “Since 1996, the success of Riverdance in North America has gone beyond our wildest dreams,” said producer Moya Doherty. “The fact that the show continues to draw and excite audiences 15 years after its debut in Dublin is a tribute to every dancer, singer, musician, staff and crew member who have dedicated themselves to the show.” What began as a seven-minute dance segment on the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest (televised to over 300 million people in Europe) and then quickly turned into a full-scale production has become much more than an international theatrical success. “I believe Riverdance has been basically a pathfinder,” said Niall O’Dowd, founder of Irish America Magazine and the Irish Voice newspaper. Along with the peace process in Northern Ireland and the economic miracle in Ireland proper, the show “has been a hugely important part of a transformation of the image of Ireland in the last 20 years.” In a flash, Riverdance became Ireland’s greatest ambassador and the thirst began. Riverdance changed the face of Irish dance and despite its imitators, has remained on top and was voted the #1 Variety/Family Entertainment Show in the US (1998). There have been many milestones along the way including the distinction of being the largest Western musical to play China; a record-breaking line of 100 Irish dancers mesmerizing 85,000 people at the 2004 Special Olympics in Dublin; a 10th Anniversary celebration at Radio City Music Hall; dancing in Red Square and on the Great Wall of China and much more. ************************************************************************** The 'Riverdance' phenomenon has seen the show performed all over the world. This documentary on the popular musical follows its evolution, from its beginnings in Dublin up to its global success in places as diverse as New York City and Geneva. Highlights from the various performers who have taken roles in the performances around the world prove to be the best highlights, with Michael Flatley, Jean Butler, and many others displaying their talents. Of course the music is important as well, and it's fascinating to see various bands from different countries interpreting Bill Whelan's sensational score. ********************************************************************** Of the many shows that came in the wake of Riverdance, Magic Of The Dance is one of the more bizarre. Combining stiff-backed, rubber-legged Irish dancing with American tap, the show depicts a young couple who fall in love at a dance. Emigrating to the USA, they flee not only famine but fleet-footed mystical demons. The plot's irrelevant, however: Magic Of The Dance is pure spectacle. Marvel at costumes that resemble what ice-skaters might wear to a medieval banquet, Christopher Lee's hammy recorded narration and, most importantly, those flying legs and feet that never miss a beat, even when they burst into flames for the finale. *********************************************************************** General Complete name : C:UsersobbyrsDesktopRiverdance - 2011 - Michael Flatley Returns as Lord of the Dance.avi Format : AVI Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave File size : 1.37 GiB Duration : 1h 35mn Overall bit rate : 2 064 Kbps Writing application : VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.3 | www.virtualdub-fr.org || (build 2550/release) Writing library : VirtualDubMod build 2550/release Video ID : 0 Format : MPEG-4 Visual Format profile : Advanced Simple@L5 Format settings, BVOP : Yes Format settings, QPel : No Format settings, GMC : No warppoints Format settings, Matrix : Default (MPEG) Codec ID : XVID Codec ID/Hint : XviD Duration : 1h 35mn Bit rate : 1 606 Kbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 304 pixels Display aspect ratio : 2.35:1 Frame rate : 23.976 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.306 Stream size : 1.07 GiB (78%) Writing library : XviD 1.2.1 (UTC 2008-12-04) Audio ID : 1 Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Codec ID : 2000 Duration : 1h 35mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 448 Kbps Channel(s) : 6 channels Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Bit depth : 16 bits Stream size : 305 MiB (22%) Alignment : Split accross interleaves Interleave, duration : 42 ms (1.00 video frame) Interleave, preload duration : 500 ms Sharing Widget |
