During the Renaissance, Venice was in full swing and was considered a city of decadence, beauty and intrigue. Recognized as the hub of civilization and cultural center of Europe, Venice was the major trade between Eastern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean. It was also the scene of political corruption and backdoor.
Here begins your story. Young, eager for success, power and wealth, and with the support of your family, you start to create a trading empire in Genoa, Tripoli, Rome, Alexandria and Constantinople, together with other major cities of the Renaissance. While climbing in Venetian society, you will acquire more power, thanks to favors and your merchant skills, and get to build your own fleet. From there, you'll build new production facilities and will test your skills in naval challenges you face pirates and political enemies to become the Doge of Venice.
