Thousands of years ago, a civilization was so torn by fear that they decided to flee their homeland and conquer another continent. There was, however, a flaw in the magic. To wed a person who was not under the spell, could release the memories of the horrors, so they ordered their armies to kill all of the indigenous peoples of their new homeland before receiving the spell themselves.
