Red Dwarf - Season 7 (1997) - Disk One
Dave Lister is the last human being in the universe. A lowly technician on the mining ship Red Dwarf, he wakes up one day to find that the rest of the crew have been killed by a radiation leak. He has been in stasis for three million years. He is doomed to drift in space for the rest of eternity with only two companions: the hologram of his former crewmate, Rimmer, and a creature called Cat who has evolved from a pet he smuggled on board. From series III onwards, they were joined by a mechanoid servant called Kryten, and from series VII, by the attractive human female, Kochanski.

Season 7, Episode 1: Tikka to Ride (17 Jan 1997)
In the aftermath of the battle with their future selves, the crew, resurrected from the dead, due to time paradox's and Lister is depressed when he learns the curry supplies were destroyed in the battle. But all hell breaks loose yet again, when Lister uses Kryten's spare-head "Spare Head 2" to take them back into time to get some curries from Earth. Only to change the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and create a alternate dimension.

Season 7, Episode 2: Stoke Me a Clipper (24 Jan 1997)
Daredevil pilot Ace Rimmer, seriously wounded, after rescuing Princess Bonjella from the Nazis, arrives on-board Starbug, to recruit Rimmer to take his place as the next Ace Rimmer. Will Rimmer continue the legacy of Ace Rimmer?

Season 7, Episode 3: Ouroboros (31 Jan 1997)
Lister, Cat and Krytern stumble upon a doorway that leads to another dimension. Where Lister learns he died in the nuclear disaster on-board Red Dwarf and has been brought back as a hologram and Lister's former girlfriend, Console officer Kristine Kochanski was in stasis and survived and Lister discovers the truth about himself.

DVD extra "Identity Within" is the 'lost episode' of Red Dwarf VII.
Writer John McKay submitted the first draft script to the production as a much-anticipated 'Cat episode'. Subsequent rewrites by Blue co-writer Kim Fuller would change some elements - removing the entire 'gambling' section - and add others, including a daydream sequence between cat and his alter-ego, Duane Dibbley. However, this version represents best McKay's original version for this episode.
The episode was ultimately dropped for, predominantly, budget reasons and replaced with Duct Soup.
