Sufis Expressions 9:02 About Red Buddha - Raindance With ?Raindance?, the musician, DJ and music producer Red Buddha releases his 3rd album. Red Buddha proves once more that he has the feel for many ethnical music-genres and knows to use these skilfully on this new release. The difference between ?Raindance? and his previous releases is that Red Buddha also uses African sounds, combined with electronic elements creating the musical base. Red Buddha worked on this production during the summer of 2006. His inspiration was rooted in the many journeys, particularly to Africa (Swaziland) and India (Allahabad), where the album was produced. Thus Red Buddha began to transport the various ethnical impressions of these cultures into his own western culture. During the process of constant change and revision, he created the suitable surrounding field for all the auditory impressions, interpreted them newly and completed the composition. It is important to Red Buddha to leave the instruments authentically and unaffected to give atmosphere the room it needs to unfold. The sound developed, projects pictures of the recording locations right into the retina of the listener. The music invites to dream about Africa and India, to imagine the markets, the pulsing street life and the festivities on beaches and in the cities. It seems like the music fills the air with the scent of these cultures. Electronic lines are marvellously underlined by singing Indian bamboo flutes and rhythmically swelling percussion sounds of Djembes, Tablas, Bongos and Kongas. Around these rhythm-giving instruments climb melodious traditional string instruments of different cultures, among them the Veena, Sarod and Sitar. The songs tell stories from the Amazon (Raindance), of ancient African Vodoo stories (Koukou), virgin celebrations in Zimbabwe (Mswati) or the washing ceremonies of Buddhist (Preaching of Buddha). A part of the various vocals recorded on this album are found in the track ?Sufi Kalaam?; these recordings are based on original Indian and Persian Sufi chants. Together with the Remix of the well-known title ?Sometimes? from Cosmic Orient, this album is both relaxing and danceable at once. All the listener needs to do for a change of the felt vibes is to change the volume. The experience remains the same - unique. I still think Red Buddha Tiber trace is the best album but this one has some remixes from the stuff like karma kafe etc...
