Ramakrishna (25 books plus fotos)

Ramakrishna (1836-1886) was one of the great mystics/practitioners of the 19th century, modern times, or any time. His vision was broad and universal. He taught that all religions lead to the same goal, and that we use different names to refer to the same supreme being.



I'm really really pleased to be able to include "Ramakrishna The Great Master" which is in my opinion the best biography of Ramakrishna. I have the two volume hard-copy with difficult Indian printing. The eBook seems to be a scan of the same book. Not great quality, but don't let that put you off -- it has some really great stuff in it.



Also included is the complete "Kathamritam" by Mahendranath Gupta, and the abridged version known as "The Gospel of Ramakrishna". These detail the last four years of the life of this great mystic. I made these PDFs from the material available as HTML web pages.



These is some other stuff here, a little about Sarada Devi aka Holy Mother aka his wife. A little about a few disciples.



A few years ago, more material was freely available on the net through the associated ashrams. Now it seems like the policy is shifting and they are trying to monetize everything. I feel so disappointed and deeply saddened by this. In my opinion, it is very important that knowledge -- especially spiritual knowledge -- should be freely available to all, regardless of their economic situation. It makes me feel really bad to see an iTunes app "vedanta.app" or something like that acting as a virtual bookstore selling these books at grossly inflated prices.



Please! Somebody buy the catalog, rip it, and put it on line for everyone to benefit from.
