This is an absolute must-have for any steam fan. This torrent contains a complete and uncompressed copy of the original DVD including chapter structure, etc, and will produce a perfect clone when burned to DVD5.

Series overview:
In the lates 1950s and early 1960s the BBC broadcast a series of television programmes called Railway Roundabout. These programmes featured many lines which were later closed and locomotives that were about to disappear forever. Filmed in colour and black and white and produced to professional broadcast standards these titles have stood the test of time and are a real insight into the Steam Era in Britian in the 50s and 60s.

1958 overview:
Highlights of this fascinating DVD include views of the "Bristolian" in the days of steam and trains in action on the Lickey incline. The DVD takes viewers on a journey to Ireland to see the Irish narrow gauge in all its glory, then back to Southampton harbour for more steam scenes. The Hayling Island branch is also included as is the Cardigan branch. Finally we hop on board the very last train from Abergavenny to Merthyr.

Note I found the sound quite quiet when viewing on a standalone DVD player, I have compared the original and the clone and the sound levels are exactly the same; this DVD series is just plain quiet. However the sound is still perfectly acceptable when burned and viewed on a standalone player, and is louder when viewed on a computer using VLC, etc.
