In Radeloos heeft Yara al een poosje een oogje op Paco, die bij haar op school zit en als DJ plaatjes draait op feesten. Maar Paco heeft wat met Floor en ziet haar niet staan. Komt het misschien omdat ze te dik is? Yara's moeder wil dat haar dochter fotomodel wordt maar eigenlijk wil Yara naar de kunstacademie. Ze besluit af te vallen door minder te gaan eten. Zo slaat ze twee vliegen in één klap: nu kan ze fotomodel worden en vindt Paco haar misschien mooi genoeg. Maar naarmate Yara minder eet, voelt ze zich steeds slechter. Haar vriendin Sterre maakt zich ernstig zorgen. En Paco? Misschien heeft hij geen oog voor Yara omdat hij zo zijn eigen problemen heeft...

As the third big screen adaptation of a popular youth novel by author Carry Slee to be produced by Maria Peters and directed by Dave Schram (the other two, Afblijven and Timboektoe, were shot in 2006 and 2007 respectively), Radeloos plunges into the turbulent waters of teen melodrama. Marius Gottlieb and Marloes van der Wel star as two close friends, both 17 years old. He's a troubled adolescent, moonlighting as a disc jockey, who falls prey to alcoholism following the death of his father; she's a misunderstood young woman, stricken by a severe eating disorder, who harbors an unexpressed love for the DJ.
