1) Extract the files

2)Run the 'Q3Installer.exe'. It will about a minute for the
installer to be ready, be patient.

If you followed the default setup,
the 'Quake III Arena' folder should be in your (C:) drive
(the one with 'Program Files' and 'Users' in it).

3) If you don't want to play online multiplayer, you can
stop here. 'quake3.exe' doesn't connect, so you can only play
Single Player. Also, no CD key is actually needed, just type
in random characters until the bar is filled up.

4)If you do want multiplayer, open the 'Quake III Arena' folder
and delete 'quake3.exe'. Drag the contents of 'Q3Multiplayer'
into it.

5) Go back into the 'Quake III Arena' folder and drag the
'Quake3' folder out of it. This is a necessary step.

6) You can now play Quake 3 Arena by loading 'quake3p_cl.exe'
